Aerodynamic analysis of the probe’s step height of civil aircraft

Abstract The atmospheric parameters of civil aircraft are usually acquired by atmospheric data sensors and used to calculate the airspeed and altitude. As one of the commonly used atmospheric data sensors, the probe is usually mounted on the aircraft nose. Due to the need to obtain high-accuracy atmospheric parameters for civil aircraft, the installation accuracy of probes usually has strict installation requirements. In this paper, the aerodynamic analysis of the probe’s step height to measurement error of air pressure height under different angles of attack is studied. The conclusion can provide a reference for establishing the requirements of probe installation gradient.
