New Facets of an Old Problem: Psychology at the Service of the Investigation Process
The need to use knowledge from the psychological sphere in the investigation of crimes has never been denied. However, there still remains a multitude of facets of the problem that have not been highlighted yet or have been undeservedly overlooked. An analysis of special publications gives an opportunity to fi nd a lot more inter-disciplinary connection points. This especially concerns special knowledge in the course of investigation of violent crimes committed by women. The mechanism of reasons and conditions that form and nourish female crime is diverse and diff ers substantially from what causes men to commit crimes. This makes it more diffi cult to investigate crimes committed by women.
