Legal Regulation of Public Lobbying in Russia
In Russia, there is still some wariness towards the institution of lobbying, while lobbying activities themselves continue to be carried out and are largely shadowy in nature. In the conditions of dynamically developing socio-political relations, the involvement of civil society institutions in the process of developing and implementing state policy, the question of existing problems in the legal regulation of communication channels between the state and civil society becomes relevant. In fact, a new kind of lobbying is being formed in Russia — civic lobbying. Creating conditions in which civil society institutions could interact with civic authorities openly, transparently and in compliance with the principle of equality is one of the directions of development of legislation in the field of civic lobbying in Russia.
