On Conceptual Approaches to the Terrorism Concept Definition in Science and Law of the Russian Federation

The article is devoted to the analysis of one of the most controversial social and legal problems of our time — terrorism. The author consider the basics of the definition of the concept in general theoretical and legal aspects, legal norms on terrorism in international and Russian legislation. The article examines doctrinal approaches to the problem of the interpretation of terrorist activity and defines the correlation of the categories «terrorism» and «terrorist activity» also. An attempt has been made to develop proposals for improving criminal legislation, and the author's concept of terrorism has also been formulated.
