Statehood as a Theoretical and Legal Problem: The Synthesis of Approaches (the beginning)
The approaches to understanding statehood expressed in modern domestic and foreign political and legal science are considered: historical, functional (the process of implementing certain state functions), synthetic, etc.). The conclusions are substantiated that the definition of the concept of “statehood” should be carried out by performing two analytical actions — delimiting statehood from the concept of the state and by combining a complex of political and non-political factors of the existence of the state as a social phenomenon, and since the implementation of the concept of “statehood” is associated with the need Using a more comprehensive concept that can describe various aspects of the functioning of the state as a political and legal phenomenon in a broad historical context, statehood and the state should be correlated as general and particular. It has been established that promising tools for constructing the concept of “statehood” are functional and ideological approaches to understanding the nature of statehood.
