ORIGAMI TUTORIAL AND ORIGAMI LANGUAGE
In 1996, an experimental tutorial for elementary school "Origami lessons at school and at home" was released. The authors of the tutorial are S. Yu. Afonkin and E. Yu. Afonkina. The book was recommended by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation as a didactic material for classes on labor training for children of senior preschool and primary school age. Such a tutorial is the only one in Russia so far. It should be clarified that modern origami is not only needlework and entertainment for children. It is also a theoretical and technical discipline that allows, for example, the design of solar panels for space stations and the device of medical nanorobots. At the same time, origami is a new kind of fine art, comparable in plastic and detail to sculpture. The purpose of the study: using the example of this tutorial to show that the art of origami is a kind of language of forms. Moreover, it can be argued that origami includes, like oral and written speech, two levels: 1) the language of flat paper forms and actions with them; 2) the language of graphic fixation of these forms and actions. Thus, origami, like literature and music, relies on a stable and clear system of signs. The process of folding a square sheet of paper lends itself to a fairly accurate description and reproduction, but it is not limited only to geometry or mechanics. Origami is a language aimed at creating images.
