IDEOLOGICAL CHILDREN'S LITERATURE: BETWEEN EDUCATION AND POLITICS
The politicization of children's literature began to appear in the second half of the nineteenth century and by the beginning of the twentieth century already represented rather a distinct part of literature intended for children. At this point, the first critics of this phenomenon (H. Wolgast) stated the need for distance between children's literature and the political interests of adults. On the material of the Russian educators' attitude to the children's literature of the Narodniks, the author has revealed the peculiarities of critical discourse on the early stages of politicization of Russian children's literature. This consists in the use of aesthetic and pedagogical concepts (realism, idealism, ideal, truthfulness) and in the absence of analysis of the political content in works.
