Publication Activities and Scientific Demand for the Works of the Teaching Staff of Legal Universities and Institutes (on the Example of MSAL)
The work is devoted to the analysis of bibliometric and scientometric indicators of the leading educational and scientific organizations (institutions) of the legal profile of Russia. The purpose of the research is to gain new knowledge about the current state and prospects of research policy in these organizations. The methodological basis of the research is analysis, comparison, generalization and forecasting methods. The result of the conducted research is the conclusion about the dominance of the Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL) in many indicators. At the same time, the analysis of data for 2023 showed that in the research activities of his teaching staff there was a decline in certain indicators (the number of joint works with foreign authors, monographs, publications in the journals of the Higher Attestation Commission, etc.). Since MSAL is the leading legal educational institution in the country (the University is the only one of the law universities in Russia involved in the national project “Priority 2030”), then, obviously, the decline in his research activities should be considered as a decline in the national legal science as a whole. Scientific and practical relevance. The obtained research results can be used in the activities of universities, primarily MSAL, in order to adjust their research policy. The guarantee for the successful solution of the problems of the growth of bibliometric and scientometric indicators of the research activity of MSAL is the highest professional level of its teaching staff.
