Research on intensity noise cancellation technology of a narrow-band ASE source based on SOA
Narrow-band ASE light sources have broad application prospects in the field of fiber optic hydrophones, but their relative intensity noise (RIN) limits the high-precision detection of fiber optic hydrophones. Therefore, by studying noise suppression technology based on SOA and dual optical path intensity cancellation suppression technology, a new intensity cancellation suppression technology based on SOA is proposed. This combines the two suppression schemes within a single optical path system, further reducing RIN, with a noise suppression level reaching up to 17 dB, which represents a further reduction of 7 dB compared to single-suppression methods.
