The atomic structure and law as the scientific foundation of traditional Chinese medicine
Recent progress in the development of the structure and law of electrons within atoms has allowed us to define the traditional Chinese medical theory in rigorous mathematics. The yin and yang pair correspond to both 1s electrons in a helium atom; the five elements are equivalent to five geometrical characteristics of electronic orbitals in a carbon atom; and eight trigrams convey eight consecutive rotatory operations, corresponding to the 2s2p electron octet within a neon shell. These ancient medical theories coincide exactly with the contemporary atomic models. Since the electronic orbitals can be delineated clearly in geometry and quantified precisely by sinusoidal spherical quantities under the fourdimensional space paradigm, the medical theories can be refined as well to reflect the parallel biological patterns. Without clear definition of concepts and theories in mathematics, physics, or chemistry, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is open to endless doubts and fundamental disputes. Here we prove through formulation and instantiation that the foundation undergirding this ancient cultural heritage is scientifically firm and urge serious integration of Eastern and Western sciences.
