Random motion of a spherical magnet on a horizontal surface
Abstract If a spherical magnet is projected at high speed on a horizontal surface, it travels in a straight line path. A more surprising result is that it follows a random path when launched at low speed, due to its interaction with the earth’s magnetic field.
