Stopping power for nitrogen ion in plasma with laser by machine learning

Machine learning is used to predict the stopping power of nitrogen ion in plasma under a laser field. A deep neural network (DNN) is well trained based on the data from molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. Results show that the DNN is able to calculate the stopping power accurately and fast. In addition, the stopping power of nitrogen ion decreases with the increasing of laser intensity, and the plasma parameters can influence the stopping power greatly with the plasma density and electron temperature.

Abstract

Machine learning is used to predict the stopping power of nitrogen ion in plasma under a laser field. A deep neural network (DNN) is well trained based on the data from molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. Results show that the DNN is able to calculate the stopping power accurately and fast. In addition, the stopping power of nitrogen ion decreases with the increasing of laser intensity, and the plasma parameters can influence the stopping power greatly with the plasma density and electron temperature.
