A MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF THE DEFORMATION OF A THREAD CUTTER
CNC milling machines are used in the blade processing of aircraft parts, which are often not rotating bodies. These parts are made of hard-to-process materials and have holes with metric threads with diameters from 4 mm to 16 mm, manufactured according to 5...6 quality. Thread milling is widely used to ensure comprehensive thread processing on CNC machines. One of the key problems is to ensure the accuracy and productivity of processing, to avoid tool breakage in case of excessive deformation. Tool deformation has a significant impact on the cutting depth and strength, process dynamics, accuracy and quality of the processed thread. The article presents mathematical dependencies that allow calculating the amount of deformation of a thread cutter during the cutting process.
