Peculiarities of legal regulation of the use of artificial intelligence in world practice

In the modern world, technological progress, in particular in the field of artificial intelligence, demonstrates rapid development, creating new opportunities and at the same time generating challenges for various spheres of social life. The article examines the legal regulation of the use of artificial intelligence technologies in the legal sphere. It is determined that subjects of power increasingly seek expert support in this area, but the legislation remains insufficiently developed. It is investigated how artificial intelligence can optimize the process of making legal decisions by automating and analyzing large amounts of data. It is revealed that artificial intelligence systems are able to increase the efficiency of judicial procedures, reducing the cost of time and resources. The erroneous perception of artificial intelligence as a digital analogue of human consciousness is indicated, and the need for legal responsibility of algorithm developers is emphasized. An analysis of recent research and publications demonstrates the contribution of leading scholars in this field, in particular Daniel Katz and Chris Reedy, who study the impact of artificial intelligence on the judicial system. The main risks associated with the use of algorithms are outlined, in particular the possibility of bias and the threat of non-discrimination. International examples of the implementation of artificial intelligence in legal practice are considered, in particular in China, the USA and the UK, which demonstrate positive results. It is determined that the integration of artificial intelligence into the legal sphere should be based on ethical principles, ensuring human rights and professional control. The need to develop a regulatory framework for regulating the use of artificial intelligence, including liability for negative consequences, is emphasized. The article emphasizes the importance of ensuring the rule of law, justice and non-discrimination in the context of technological innovations. The need for the adoption of legislative acts regulating the use of artificial intelligence in judicial and law enforcement activities is expressed.
