Una escena primaria de la contravención: mito y cognición en la Nictimene de Primero sueño
Abstract This article examines the crafting of a nocturnal scenario of cognitive transgression in Sor Juana’s First Dream. This mythographic work is executed, in large part, around the figure of Nictimene, the character materialized in an owl. Sor Juana dedicates an important effort of stylistic and symbolic work to the character of Nictimene because the initial scenario of contravention and disobedience in the text is built precisely around her figure. By analyzing the broader scenario of the night as a space of persistence and cognitive daring, this article also explores the different models of exemplarity that Sor Juana assembles and instrumentalizes in this poem.
