A Perturbed CPW Fed Ultra Wideband Multiband Microstrip Antenna for 5G Communication Application
In this research work, a perturbed coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed microstrip patch antenna (MPA) for ultra-wideband (UWB) operation is suggested and simulated by Ansoft HFSS software. Both Mid-Band (1GHz-7GHz) and High-Band (24 GHz-52 GHz) 5G communication systems can use this antenna. This also includes the ISM bands. The resonant frequency received at 4.4 GHz and 6.6 GHz can be used sub-6 GHz bands in 5G communication. All the responses of reflection coefficients are below −18dB. The 5G mid-band frequency range bandwidth is 109 % (4.1 GHz – 8.9 GHz) 5G High-Range bandwidth is obtained as 126 % (12 GHz to 49.8 GHz). The frequency responses are obtained at 25.73 GHz, 29.9 GHz, 33 GHz and 43.1 GHz. These frequencies are useful for High Band operation of 5G communication. Results are verified experimentally and found in good agreement.
