Comparative Study of an Installation Photovoltaic Isolated and Connected to Network for Electricity Production
The use of renewable energies is not new. These have been exploited by humans since the dawn of time. In the past, water mills, windmills, firewood, animal traction, and sailing boats significantly contributed to the development of humanity. They constituted a separate economic activity, particularly in rural areas where they were as important and as diversified as food production. Renewable energies offer the possibility to produce clean electricity and especially in less dependence on resources, on condition of accepting their natural fluctuations and sometimes random. The study compares the installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems in isolated and grid-connected locations in Tlemcen, Adrar, and Mecheria using HOMER Pro software. It involves specific data collection, configuration of various PV solutions, and evaluation of performance and costs. The aim is to identify the most cost-effective and suitable configurations for each site to formulate effective and sustainable energy recommendations, considering geographical conditions and electrical grid availability.
