Topology Optimization and Additive Manufacturing of a Loudspeaker Soft Magnetic Core
The advancement of metal additive manufacturing (AM) technologies has enabled the creation of complex geometries for various applications. This paper explores the development of a topology optimized and additively manufactured soft magnetic core for dynamic loudspeakers. By leveraging the synergistic capabilities of topology optimization (TO) and AM, we designed and fabricated a novel loudspeaker core with optimized material utilization. The paper details the modeling, optimization, manufacturing, and initial performance evaluation of the AM loudspeaker core.
