Experimental Investigation of Axial Hydrokinetic Turbines
In this paper, various types of prototypes of small axial hydrokinetic turbines are presented designed, built and tested in laboratory conditions to prove their operability and efficiency. The hydrokinetic turbines have a diameter of 0.1 m, with a different number of blades and are tested in a free water stream flowing at a velocity of 0,1; 0,2 and 0,3 m/s. Experimental studies are carried out in a specially designed closed-loop laboratory installation or testing prototypes of hydrokinetic turbines. The revolutions of rotation of the turbines are measured. The research includes three measurements: 1. clear stream; 2. with 1 confusor on and 3. with two confusors on in front of the turbine
