Cyber-Attack Tolerant Control based on State Feedback Stabilization for Complex Interconnected Cyber-Physical Systems
In this paper, a model-based fault/attack tolerant scheme is proposed as a means of addressing cyber-threats on cyber-physical systems. An observer-based scheme is de-signed. The designed method involves with the use of a state feedback control including an event-triggered approach. A new and improved security strategy is proposed based on the use of event-triggered control implementations and fault tolerance control with linear matrix inequality (LMI) approaches. The objective of employing an event-based implementation is to minimize the impact of attacks on the system. To illustrate the efficacy of the proposed control strategy in the presence of data manipulation attacks on actuators and sensors, simulations have been conducted for an interconnected system of three tanks.
