Enhancing User Experience for Data Visualization: An Analysis of File Format Performance
In today's fast-paced digital world, system performance is crucial for user satisfaction and productivity. Performance issues arising from handling big data can significantly influence the user experience. This study investigates how file format structures affect application performance. We aimed to prioritize stable performance and examine how handling relevant file formats in data visualization, ROS Bag and MCAP, affects performance in web and desktop environments. Our analysis involved real development car data and use cases typical for function developers for automated driving functions. Results have shown the critical importance of optimizing file sizes to align with user needs and requirements. This effectively mitigates dropped frames, alleviates performance bottlenecks, and ultimately elevates overall user experience and satisfaction. Our work serves as one of the initial investigations into the influence of file formats on performance and its influence on user experience in the domain of data visualization for the development of automated driving functions.
