Wide-Angle Cancellation of Scattering from Hybrid PB-Metasurfaces with Anti-Phase Sub-Blocks with Generation of Various OAM-Modes
Wide-angle broadband scattering cancellation from Pancharatnam-Berry (PB) hybrid metasurfaces (MSs) with orbital angular momentum (OAM) is considered. Hybrid MSs are designed from two sub-blocks of different shapes, each of which is a fragment of anti-phase square-shaped OAM-modules. The design was based on a holographic approach. Sub-blocks consist of meta-particles in the form of rectangular patches with cutouts and generate OAM-modes of the same or different orders. The design is based on a holographic approach. Wide-angle diffuse scattering and cancellation of intense co-field side lobes are realized for MSs from sub-blocks generating identical OAM modes, according to the simulation. In the case of an MS from sub-blocks with different OAM-modes, diffusion does not increase; the co-field has intense side lobes in diagonal planes.
