Analysis of Force Mechanism and Key Technology Research on Construction of Ultra‐high Performance Concrete‐steel Deck of Large‐span Arch Bridge
Abstract In this study, finite element software was utilized to delve into the intricate tensile mechanism of ultra‐high performance concrete (UHPC)‐steel bridge panels subjected to loading in a large‐span arch bridge. Specifically, the analysis pinpointed the most unfavorable location to be the critical juncture where the transverse girder intersects with the small longitudinal girder, precisely at the midpoint of the span. Consequently, a novel crack control strategy tailored for the UHPC layer of center‐bearing large‐span arch bridges was formulated, which involves the strategic “releasing of horizontal ropes in advance, followed by replenishing tension at a later stage.” Furthermore, the pivotal technology pertaining to the construction of the UHPC‐steel deck pavement layer was established through rigorous on‐site experimentation and implementation.
