Structural Analysis of Different Combined‐System Bridges with Cable‐Stayed Bridge without back cables

Abstract The characteristics of cable‐stayed bridge without back cables are different from the conventional cable‐stayed bridge. The whole static equilibrium characteristics of the cable‐stayed bridge without back cables will be analyzed. And the influences of different span arrangement on internal forces, deformations of the structural systems will be analyzed based on a cable‐stayed without back cables‐continuous beam combination bridge. The results showed that the cable in the structural balance only played the role of connecting the beam and tower, and its geometric characteristics were not directly related to the overall balance of the structure. Setting the auxiliary span can reduce the deflections of the main span, the longitudinal and vertical displacements of the pylon. It also can greatly improve the overall stiffness of the structure. The effects of increasing side span on internal forces, deformations are not obvious.
