Batch Annotation Method and Implementation of Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering Drawings Based on CATIA V6

Abstract CATIA plays an important role in the design process of hydraulic and hydropower engineering, but there are issues such as difficulty in generating engineering drawings and low efficiency in producing these drawings. This paper addresses these issues by researching a batch annotation method for hydraulic and hydropower engineering drawings based on CATIA V6. Firstly, drawing standards are formulated to provide uniform specifications for subsequent annotations. Secondly, a 2D component resource library is established to solve the problem of missing conventional hydraulic and hydropower annotation symbols in CATIA V6 engineering drawings. Finally, based on the drawing standards and the 2D component resource library, a self‐developed batch annotation system for engineering drawings is created using CATIA V6 secondary development technology to meet the annotation needs of conventional functions in hydraulic and hydropower engineering drawings. Experimental results demonstrate that this method provides designers with an efficient, standardized, and flexible solution, which has significant practical value and offers important guidance for the design and annotation work of hydraulic and hydropower engineering drawings.
