Spatial Cooperative Mechanical Performance of Steel Plate‐concrete Composite Beam Bridge

Abstract To analyze the spatially coordinated stress performance of steel plate‐concrete composite beam bridges, this study focuses on their transverse load distribution coefficients. Firstly, the load transverse distribution coefficient of each main girder is calculated using theoretical methods such as the lever principle method and rigid cross‐beam method. Subsequently, a finite element model of a 3×40 m five‐girder composite continuous girder bridge system is established. It computes the load transverse distribution coefficients using the finite element method and compares them with the theoretical values. Finally, the variations in the load transverse distribution coefficients for different small crossbeam spacing are analyzed. This research provides insights into the arrangement of transverse connections in steel plate‐concrete composite beam bridges and the applicable range of theoretical calculations.
