Healthy Grant Professionals in the Real World
The nature of the grant profession is inherently stressful, and that stress often leads to burnout. Building upon previous work, four members of the Grant Professionals Association surveyed grant professionals and direct supervisors of grant professionals to examine the conditions existing in the workplace that could contribute to employee burnout. The team received 440 responses to its anonymous online survey of 21 questions. While the findings revealed less disconnect between these two groups than the authors hypothesized, key takeaways may empower the reader to take steps to improve their work environment.
