Exploración de Redes Sociales en la Producción Académica Estadística

This work develops a social network analysis of the articles published by the RevistaColombiana de Estad´ıstica, with the aim of uncovering important patterns andcharacteristics in citation relationships, both among the authors who have beencited or referenced by the journal and among the articles linked to these authors.Through a descriptive analysis and a partitioning of the networks of interest, thefundamental role played not only by internationally recognized authors but alsoby professors from the National University of Colombia who have dedicated theirlives to the field of statistics was discovered.
