Single-Particle Control of Polarized Fluorescence in Au Nanorod/Quantum Dot Hybrid Nanoarrays

Quantum dots (QDs) and plasmonic Au nanorods (NRs) offer unique optical properties that can be exploited for a variety of applications. To optimize the interaction between these two materials, precise control over their spatial arrangement is essential. Here, we applied modified atomic force microscopy (AFM) nanoxerography to assemble a nanoarray composed of well-defined Au NR/QD hybrid clusters. By precisely controlling the NR orientation and the spectral overlap, we can manipulate the fluorescence polarization of QDs. Our approach enables detailed studies of single-particle interactions, providing valuable insights into the design and optimization of plasmonic nanostructures for advanced optoelectronic applications.
