Enhancement of Wear Resistance of Martensitic Steel by Surface Layer Modifications

The article examines the enhancement of wear resistance in steel operating in a hydrogen environment through technological control of the surface layer. The conducted wear tests have established that, in a hydrogen environment, it is advisable to use chromium steels with a fine-grained structure. The material of this article can be used to assess the surface quality of such steels.
