Propiedades psicométricas de una escala para medir el comportamiento innovador de egresados con formación académico-laboral

Higher education institutions are fundamentally dedicated to the training of professionals capable of responding to the demands of their environment. This requires possessing a body of knowledge and skills that can be refined and strengthened in an academic-workplace training setting. The development of innovative workplace behavior—oriented toward the pursuit of viable, profitable, and sustainable solutions—is particularly urgent for developing countries. The objective of this study is to validate a scale that measures innovative behavior based on responses provided by graduates with academic training in the workplace. This quantitative, non-experimental study utilized Cronbach’s Alpha to assess the instrument’s reliability. A survey was administered to 440 graduates from Mexico’s technological higher education system. The Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) validated the construct. The model’s fit indices demonstrated excellent results. It is concluded that, within this educational system, the innovative behavior variable should be considered unidimensional.
