"GREEN" INVESTMENTS IN TIMES OF CHANGE

Considering the ethical aspects of socially responsible investing, the authors in their article ask whether the so-called "green" investing remains relevant, considering the current international crises and political changes in the countries – ideological flagships of the ESG agenda. Despite the analysis of the market of "green" bonds and domestic companies implementing the principles of sustainable development in their activities, the answer is ambiguous. Investing in "green" bonds has many advantages. However, despite the smaller number of disadvantages, the weight of the latter in making investment decisions may prevail. It remains obvious only to recognize that ESG is an ideology, including an investment one, on the consolidation of which in the minds of many people depends on the salvation of the planet and our usual way of life. The article contains arguments that make sustainable development more attractive and even economically efficient, which makes it interesting for supporters of the "green" agenda and economists developing investment strategies.
