Human Rights Approach to Assisted Reproductive Technologies

In this blog study, the author applies a human rights approach to particular techniques of assisted reproduction technologies. These techniques are posthumous fertilization, surrogate motherhood, mitochondrial transfer, and cloning. One of the human (family law) rights that are particularly analyzed is the interest of the child to be cared for by two parents. The other human right is the child`s right to know who his/her biological parents are, as a component of the child`s right to identity.
