The study is devoted to the economic aspects of the transition to a closed-loop economy and sustainable consumption. The problems of the linear model of production and consumption, the economic advantages of circular business models and their impact on markets, employment and investment are considered. The mechanisms of state regulation, tax incentives and international initiatives aimed at minimizing waste and rational use of resources are analyzed. The barriers to the implementation of circular practices are assessed and strategies for accelerating the transition to a sustainable economy are proposed.
