INFLAMMATORY MYOFIBROBLASTIC TUMOUR OF LIVER : A DIAGNOSTIC DILEMMA
Background- Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors (IMTs) of the liver are rare neoplasms. Very little is known about their etiology, clinical presentation, pathogenesis, and biological behavior and due to rare presentation, it is impossible for definite diagnosis without histology. We report a case of 34 year old male who presented with compla Clinical Presentation: ints of low grade fever, right upper abdomen pain for 3 months, moderate to severe intensity. Patient underwent robotic right posterior sectionectomy under GA, Tumour was just lateral to Right hepatic vein (RHV), Parenchymal transection medial to RHV done with energy device. A high index Conclusion: of suspicion, coupled with thorough histopathological evaluation, is essential for accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. Given the potential for recurrence, long-term follow-up is recommended for patients diagnosed with IMT.
