Numerical Simulation of Melting Heat Transfer in Magnetohydrodynamic Fluid Flow over Moving Surfaces: Role of Diffusion and Chemical Reactions

Abstract The melting process is crucial for enhancing the efficiency of cooling systems in various sectors, including manufacturing, aerospace, and energy production, where effective HT is essential for optimal system performance. This paper delves into the impact of cross‐diffusion on the melting HT of MHD fluid flow induced by a moving surface, considering dissipation and chemical reactions. The principal PDEs are converted into ODEs by utilizing suitable variables. To address the resultant system, a numerical method is utilized employing a proficient shooting technique in conjunction with the RKF approach. The discoveries disclose that the velocity, energy, and fluid concentration amplify with heightened melting and moving factors, whereas the velocity diminishes when encountering a more powerful magnetic force.
