Removal from cadastral register of land plots due to the loss of functional purpose

The article discusses the lack of a legal mechanism for recognizing the loss of the functional purpose of land plots and removing them from cadastral register. The absence of legally fixed concepts such as "physical destruction of a land plot" and "loss of physical properties of a land plot" leads to casuistry. The authors consider the interpretation of the understanding of the "death" of a land plot in foreign and Russian practice. The foreign practice of compensation payments for the destruction of a land plot is studied in this paper as well.
