Preface

The International Laser Technology and Optics Symposium 2024 (iLATOS 2024) was successfully held on the 11th – 12th September 2024 at the Sunway Big Box Hotel, Iskandar Puteri, Johor, Malaysia . This symposium was a pivotal platform for scientists, researchers, and industry experts to engage in meaningful discussions and share their latest findings and innovations in laser technology and optics. Organized by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in collaboration with Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) , iLATOS 2024 brought together participants from various parts of the world to present their work and ideas in areas such as laser material processing, photonics, optical systems, and interdisciplinary applications of lasers and optics. The event provided an excellent opportunity to forge collaborations, exchange knowledge, and explore emerging trends and challenges in this ever-evolving field. This publication compiles the contributions presented at the symposium, showcasing the diversity and depth of the research conducted in laser technology and optics. These works have been rigorously reviewed to ensure the highest scientific quality, reflecting the authors’ and reviewers’ dedication and expertise.
