THE INFLUENCE OF WORK ORGANIZATION ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF OFFICE ARCHITECTURE FROM THE TIME OF TAYLORISM TO THE COVID-19

Based on historical outline, the article will present the influence of work organization on the design of office architecture from the Taylorism to Covid-19. Intensive changes in the structure of companies and evolving expectations of employers and employees, impose variable environmental conditions, necessitating a process of modernizing office buildings. Such actions lead to promoting a linear economy instead of a circular one, prompting the construction of new buildings rather than adapting existing ones. The goal of historical and comparative analysis is to demonstrate the need for designing flexible structures that can realistically meet the needs of the IV Industrial Revolution.

Abstract

Based on historical outline, the article will present the influence of work organization on the design of office architecture from the Taylorism to Covid-19. Intensive changes in the structure of companies and evolving expectations of employers and employees, impose variable environmental conditions, necessitating a process of modernizing office buildings. Such actions lead to promoting a linear economy instead of a circular one, prompting the construction of new buildings rather than adapting existing ones. The goal of historical and comparative analysis is to demonstrate the need for designing flexible structures that can realistically meet the needs of the IV Industrial Revolution.
