The effect of deformation and heat treatment on the mechanical properties of bimetallic clad pipe
This article takes the bimetallic clad pipe prepared by elemental interdiffusion explosion welding as the research object, and discusses the influence of rolling and heat treatment process on the mechanical properties. It was found that the presence of second-phase particles and inclusions at the fusion boundary of the specimen prior to deformation had a detrimental effect on the mechanical properties. After cold rolling and heat treatment, the mechanical properties of this bimetallic clad pipe are significantly improved, which can be attributed to the considerable reduction of second-phase particles and inclusions at the fusion boundaries. In addition, the corrosion resistance of the inner alloy 825 was not noticeably reduced after cold rolling and heat treatment.
