Multiple Adjustment Schemes Using Dijkstra's Algorithm for Distribution Network Maintenance

Maintaining an electric distribution network (EDN) is crucial for ensuring power systems' safe, stable operation and minimizing disruptions to end-users. With the increased complexity of EDNs, driven by integrating renewable energy sources and expanding grid scales, challenges in maintenance planning and operation mode adjustments become more pronounced. This paper uses a Dijkstra algorithm to propose a maintenance load tranfer strategy for EDNs. The proposed method leverages real-time electrical and topological data to optimize switch control, thus adapting to the maintenance state of the EDN topology. By focusing exclusively on topological reconfiguration, without considering generating unit outputs or load adjustments, the proposed approach aims to streamline maintenance scheduling and minimize its impact on grid operations. Preliminary experimental results using IEEE standard arithmetic and Pandapower data show that the proposed method is capable of generating a variety of load transfer paths during overhaul, which can provide power employees with adjustment plans.
