Optimized Scheduling Method for Demand-Side Flexibility Resources to Address Power Shortages
The uncertainty in new energy output easily leads to the difficulty in meeting the actual intraday load demand with the day-ahead clearing results on the supply side. When there is a power shortage within the day, grid operators can only purchase electricity from other grids at high prices. Considering the willingness of demand-side users to participate, this paper proposes an economic intraday optimal scheduling model that comprehensively utilizes resources from other grids and the demand side. Firstly, a framework for day-ahead and intraday dispatch of demand-side resources is proposed, providing spot support for intraday dispatch of these resources. Secondly, based on resource characteristics and taking into account users' willingness to participate, the demand-side resources are classified and modeled. Finally, by aggregating distributed resources on the demand side, an economic optimal scheduling model is proposed to address intraday power shortages. Case studies verify that the proposed method can effectively improve the economics of system scheduling.
