Photoreduction of carbon dioxide enhanced by Cu atoms doped in a Pd cluster supported on TiO2: mechanism, selectivity, and catalytic descriptor

Cu–Pd sites perform better than Cu–Cu sites for CO 2 photoreduction. The −ICOHP C–O is proposed as a descriptor to predict the catalytic activity. Microkinetic simulations reveal the physical origin responsible for a high CH 4 selectivity.

Abstract

Cu–Pd sites perform better than Cu–Cu sites for CO 2 photoreduction. The −ICOHP C–O is proposed as a descriptor to predict the catalytic activity. Microkinetic simulations reveal the physical origin responsible for a high CH 4 selectivity.
