YOUTH EMPLOYMENT AND POPULATION AGING IN CHINA: SEARCHING FOR INNOVATIVE AND EFFECTIVE SOLUTIONS

The object and subject of the study are the problems of youth employment and population aging in China in the context of a shrinking labor supply and the negative impact of these factors on China's economic growth. The purpose of the paper is to identify and evaluate from a scientific point of view the main directions of China's policy to preserve jobs for people who have reached retirement age, in combination with the strategy of creating fundamentally new digital jobs for graduates of universities and colleges in China, that is a policy that excludes the opposition of elderly and young citizens who do not retire. The study uses general scientific and other analytical methods: generalizations, groupings, statistical and comparative analysis. Based on the results of the work, the following conclusions were made: 1) by comprehensively solving the problems of youth employment and using the "silver economy" as one of the drivers of the economy, China is successfully implementing a policy of transition from accelerated quantitative economic growth to qualitative one, while excluding intergenerational confrontation; 2) the updated development strategy of the PRC takes into account the demographic factor of aging and declining birth rates and assumes its transformation from a burden on economic growth into a competitive advantage for stimulating the domestic market and consumption while simultaneously improving the quality of life of the Chinese population.
