Concentration Dependences of the Heat Capacity of Ammonium Iodide Solutions in Mixed N-Methylpyrrolidone–Water Solvent at 298.15 K
Specific heat capacities are measured via calorimetry at 298.15 K (cp) for solutions of ammonium iodide in a mixed N-methylpyrrolidone (MP)–water solvent throughout the range of compositions. The effect the composition of the mixed solvent has on the heat capacity of three-component NH4I–MP–H2O systems is analyzed. Standard values of partial molar heat capacities $${{\overline {C_{p}^{0}} }_{2}}$$ are calculated for NH4I in a mixed MP–water solvent at 298.15 K.
