1 mJ femtosecond pulsed vortex laser at 1030nm
We report on a millijoule-level Yb pulsed vortex fiber laser using a single-channel chirped pulse amplification laser system based on Yb-doped photonic crystal fiber. ~1 mJ vortex mode is produced and no vortex mode instability is observed. A self-reference Mach-Zehnder interferometer examines, the generated vortex mode and shows good stability with a mode purity of vortex mode above 96%. The maximum output energy of the optical vortex up to 1 mJ has been achieved at 1 kHz repetition frequency. A grating pair compresses the pulse duration to 249 fs, corresponding to a peak power of 4 GW.
