The Role of Hot Isostatic Pressing in Future Energy Systems
Hot Isostatic Pressing has been used to consolidate components for the power generation industry for many years, and with the renaissance of nuclear fission and fusion interest, HIP (HOT ISOSTATIC PRESSING) will play a significant role. This presentation will focus on powder metallurgy-based production of critical components in the power generation sector. Latest developments in the development of World record HIP equipment will also be discussed. Keywords: Hot Isostatic Pressing, Heat Treatment, Powder Metallurgy, Near Net Shape, Energy Sector
