NEUROPHYSIOLOGICAL RESEARCH AS A TOOL FOR INCREASING LABOR PRODUCTIVITY IN JSC RUSSIAN RAILWAYS

The relevance of this article is due to the increasing significance of research findings in neurotechnology across various economic sectors, including the transportation industry. This industry operates under heightened risks and is highly influenced by the human factor. The global investment in expensive projects aimed at studying the human brain underscores a substantial demand for advances in this field, coming not only from governmental bodies but also from the business sector. Results in human brain research are expected to lead to the development of tools that enhance labor productivity using artificial intelligence. The scientific novelty of this study lies in establishing a set of indicators for effective employee performance, as well as determining their optimal limits. This includes identifying workload thresholds, beyond which cognitive overload may occur. The object of the study is a transportation company with valuable labor potential, aiming to utilize this potential effectively through traditional management practices and insights from neuroscience. The subject of the research involves the tools of neurophysiological investigation employing neuro- and psychophysiological technologies to boost labor productivity. This paper aims to create a scientifically based approach to define an employee's behavioral profile during peak workload periods, utilizing neurotechnology to enhance productivity. The hypothesis posits that employees’ neurophysiological characteristics correlate with their workload coefficients, and understanding this relationship can help establish a behavioral profile for employees at JSC Russian Railways, accounting for the cognitive load to improve productivity. The research methods include analysis, generalization, comparison, systematization, and modeling. Throughout the study, the author achieved the following results: identified trends in the development of neuroscience by reviewing relevant scientific literature, presented practical developments from the Laboratory of Neurophysiological Research of Labor Costs at JSC Russian Railways, and established the boundaries of optimal employee workload indicators, which help minimize emergencies.
