Spectra manipulation and spectra shift amplification for standing waves with a reflective mirror

The topic of spectra control through various mechanisms has been a subject of interest since the proposition of the spatial-spectral correspondence relationship. This study employs the above method to examine the spectral characteristics of a standing wave situation resulting from the reflection of light by a mirror. The theoretical analysis and numerical results demonstrate the existence of spectral switches and spectral shift amplification. Additionally, optical frequency rulers (OFRs) can be generated, and the ruler's tick spacing can be readily adjusted by modifying the incident angle of the light wave, rendering it a "scalable" OFR. These findings are advantageous for digital optical communication and spectroscopy.
