Rational molecular engineering of porphyrins for enhanced performance in dye-sensitized solar cells

A novel series of nine porphyrin dyes have been synthesized to explore structure–performance relationship, in which the impact of a donor's bulkiness and diverse acceptors are investigated. Among these porphyrin dyes, TZ1 achieved a PCE of 9.90%.
